On Tuesday, May 16th, Mariah Manning, a senior at Gouverneur, was named one of the Channel 7 News Academic All-Stars. As a member of Gouverneurs Class of 2023 Honors Group, Mariah has maintained an impressive GPA while involving herself in numerous extracurricular activities including Cross Country, Jazz Band, Gouverneur Musical Productions, Drama Club, National Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, and more. Additionally, she has held the position of Class President for the past 4 years. After graduation, she plans to attend Franciscan University to major in psychology and minor in music. Ultimately, she hopes to become a mental health counselor/music therapist. When asked her thoughts on receiving the honor of being named an Academic All-Star, she said, “I am proud to be representing our school on the news, especially to show where Gouverneur’s education has brought me.” We are very grateful for Mariah’s dedication to the Gouverneur Central School District and hope to see her continue to excel in the future.
